Created by a nurse, for nurses.

My Story

Nursing has given me many opportunities throughout my career, but it wasn't until I discovered PACU that I truly found where I thrive. I quickly became passionate about post-anesthesia care and pursued certification early on, eager to deepen my knowledge and expertise. Along the way, I realized that many of the foundational concepts and practical tools needed to succeed in PACU simply weren't taught in nursing school or readily available in one place. That's what inspired me to create the educational resources you'll find here—to help nurses build confidence and feel supported as they enter this unique and rewarding specialty.

That same passion for helping nurses has extended beyond education. Over the years, I've helped dozens of nurses strengthen their resumes, prepare for interviews, and pursue new career opportunities. I also participate in reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates in my professional role, giving me firsthand insight into what healthcare leaders and hiring teams look for. Whether I'm creating study resources or helping a nurse tell their professional story, my goal is the same: to support nurses as they grow, succeed, and build careers they love.

Leadership, Education, and Professional Involvement

In addition to my clinical practice, I am deeply committed to advancing the profession of perianesthesia nursing through leadership, education, and service. I have had the privilege of presenting at a national nursing conference, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues from across the country. These opportunities have reinforced my belief in the power of collaboration and lifelong learning within our specialty.

I am actively involved in multiple committees within my organization, working alongside interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, enhance nursing practice, and support professional development. I also serve on my state's Board of Directors for perianesthesia nurses, where I contribute to initiatives that promote excellence in patient care, professional advocacy, and continued growth within our specialty. These experiences continue to shape my perspective and inspire the educational content I create for nurses at every stage of their careers.

Curated with love

Every resource you'll find here has been created with intention, care, and a genuine desire to support fellow nurses. As nurses, we learn best from one another, and I understand the challenges, questions, and responsibilities that come with caring for patients in the perianesthesia setting. Whether you're new to the PACU or a seasoned nurse looking to refresh your knowledge, my hope is that these materials help make your work a little easier, build your confidence, and remind you that you're part of a community of nurses committed to providing exceptional patient care.

"Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation, as any painter's or sculptor's work."
